ADF Sustainability Progress 2025: Leading the Way

At ADF, sustainability sits at the core of everything we do. We are focused on delivering practical solutions that reduce environmental impact while continuing to support high-quality production services.

Our Commitment

Our ESG strategy is embedded across all our operations, with four key pillars guiding our approach:

  • Climate & Net Zero
  • Innovative Client Solutions
  • A Great Place to Work
  • Growth Through Knowledge

These pillars define how we operate, innovate, and improve every day.

Real Action. Real Progress.

  • Net Zero by 2050
  • 50% emissions reduction per employee by 2030 (vs 2022 baseline)
  • Industry-leading clean power, clean fuel & smarter operations
  • Advancing through continuous innovation

“Sustainability sits right at the core of what we do at ADF. It shapes how we operate every day. For us it means continuing to deliver an excellent service to productions while reducing our environmental impact and finding new ways to innovate and move the industry forward.”

— James Long, COO ADF

Results That Make a Difference

In FY25, we delivered measurable reductions and operational improvements across the group:

  • 3,035 tCO₂e total emissions
  • 15,841,659 kWh energy consumption

Key reductions achieved:

  • 43% reduction in emissions per employee vs 2022 baseline
  • 21% less tonnes of CO₂e per employee for the group
  • 28% reduction in tonnes of CO₂e per million pounds of revenue

We’re not just on track — we’re ahead.

Growing Impact Through Hybrid Solutions

Hybrid adoption is growing as we continue to deliver cleaner, quieter and more efficient results for productions.

  • Increased from 20% to 43% of productions in 2025
  • Reduced fuel consumption powering unit bases by more than 50%
  • The battery element of our hybrids powered productions for more than 7 out of every 10 hours on average
  • 5,736 hours of noise and air pollution was avoided in Q4 of 2025 alone

Driving Cleaner Fuel with HVO

In 2025, our fuel transition saw positive progress, supported by our expanded capability.

  • HVO is available in all our depots across the UK
  • HVO supported swing moves on 33% of our productions in 2025
  • Up to 50% in H2 of 2025

Impact delivered:

  • 14% reduction in diesel consumption year-on-year
  • Location One celebrated a full year of diesel-free operations

Fuel Consumption

As a result, ADF’s HVO usage increased significantly in 2025, positively offsetting diesel consumption.

  • Diesel consumption was down by 14% year on year
  • Productions using HVO increased from 3% in 2024 to 33% in 2025
