Yard Operative

Description:

Location: Bordon, Hampshire

Salary: £110 per day

Hours: 45 hour week – 4 on/4 off shift pattern

Facilities by ADF provides serviced vehicle hire for television and film productions in the UK and Europe, specialising in on-location support for dramas and major features.

Due to rapid growth, we are looking to recruit a yard operative to support our busy depot. On offer is an excellent opportunity to join a growing company which is established in providing facilities to the TV and Film industry.

ADF are a 24/7 operation and staff are required to be flexible during busy periods to cover additional workloads.

Main Responsibilities:

To clean & maintain all ADF trailers to the standards required.

Move vehicles around the yard.

Work in conjunction with Workshop Manager and Yard Supervisor

Replenish stock items used on different types of trailers.

Report any defects or damage found whilst working on trailers to Supervisor.

Manage Bordon consumable stock levels & liaise with Supervisor.

Complete check sheets when trailers are cleaned, sign off & give to Supervisor.

Be aware & follow the company’s Chlorination process.

Essential requirements:

A valid HGV/LGV C&E driving license

The ability to maintain high standards while working under pressure.

Strong Attention to detail.

Be reliable and a positive attitude.

Flexible approach to hours – available for overtime when required.

Account Manager

Description:

Salary: Starting salary of £28k + competitive benefits package.
Location: Bridgend, South Wales
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

Account Manager – The Role:

Our Account Managers are the link between our clients (the TV and Film production teams) and the facilities by ADF support teams which are spread across two locations, Bridgend and Bordon, Hampshire.

This position would suit someone who has excellent customer service skills, attention to detail and for who going the extra mile comes naturally.  The role is based in Bridgend however there will be some requirement for travel and overnight stays.

Account Manager – Main Responsibilities:

From the outset of a production, working closely with the production coordinator/production manager/HOD/transport management team to coordinate the loading and the relocate of vehicles to the first unit base.

Liaising with production to gain as much information as possible regarding the filming schedule to enable forward planning of unit base moves and any additional vehicle requirements and drivers.  Entering this information on to the planning matrix and task sheets to enable the logistics teams to assign vehicles and drivers.

Working closely with Logistics team to ensure all your production unit base moves are efficient and on time.

Producing spend reports and advising productions on additional spend.

Managing the account financials, making sure schedule payments and invoices are paid on time.

Daily contact with the production team, HOD’s and our transport department to oversee the smooth and effective delivery of additional vehicles and drivers ensuring the smooth day to day running of the production.

Carrying out site visits to meet clients/HOD’s with the purpose of developing long standing, successful business relationships, gaining valuable feedback that will help us develop our service.

At the end of the productions gain the unloading requirements from the client and pass these on to the transport department to arrange, maintaining regular communication to ensure a smooth and problem free end to the production.

Servicing the existing client data base, while developing & building own client data base.

Fleet Engineer

Description:

Based in Bordon, Hampshire and reporting to the Operations Director the successful candidate will play a key role in our Senior Management team. Working closely with our Operations Director, Depot/Transport Mangers along with our Account Managers and Financial Accountant.

They will be expected to have full responsibility for all matters relating to our fleet across all sites and depots for Maintenance Programs, Compliance and Operating Centres.

The Role:

You will be required to go on the O license and will be responsible for managing compliance across the Fleet, Service, Transport and Driver Hours Compliance

Ability to thoroughly and holistically audit and check all areas regarding legal compliance and regulatory adherence to UK transport laws and requirements

Drive efficiency of the operational spend and maintain all fleet related costs in addition to time-based staff

Ensures that all relevant legislative requirements are adhered to and that Company procedures and standards are maintained

The ability to deliver vigorous cost controls including whole life costs whilst increasing asset availability

Monthly delivery of KPI reports

Develops the operation and teams to meet financial and efficiency targets through a continuous improvement approach

Deliver improving financial performance for the operation, ensuring the site meets budget commitments. (repeat of highlighted item below)

HGV Class 1 C+E Driver

Description:

We are currently recruiting for C+E (Class 1) drivers to join our team based in Bordon. Contracts guarantee a minimum 40 hours a week after successful probation period. Casual contracts are also available for those who do not wish to be tied into a rota and want flexibility.

Experience in the industry is not necessary as training will be provided.

HGV/ C+E (Class 1) Drivers – Essential Requirements:

Have a full UK Class 1 driving licence (or equivalent) with 6 or less points

Current DQC and Driver Digi-Card

HGV Class 2 Driver – TV and Film Locations

Description:

We are currently recruiting for Technical Truck Drivers (camera, grips etc.)  to join our teams based on locations throughout the UK.

As a Tech. Driver with ADF you are responsible for the safe carrying of sensitive and often expensive equipment. Communication with your relevant crew is key and you are likely to be asked to assist them with the setting up of equipment on set and take things to them as required. You will be expected to unload certain items of equipment prior to your crew arriving on set and be required to reload and secure at the end of the day. As part of our facilities crew you will also be expected to assist in the maintenance and cleaning of our facilities on site.

Class 2 Drivers – Essential Requirements:

Have a full UK Class 2 driving Licence (or equivalent) with 6 or less points

Current DQC and Driver Digi-Card

Professional and positive attitude

Flexibility (shifts vary in line with filming/wrap times)

Be able to work as part of a team

Punctual

Excellent communication skills

Facilities Base

Description:

You will be part of a team responsible for assisting the Head of Department (HOD) in the upkeep of facilities on-location for the production team and assist in carrying out set-up, moves and relocations.

The Facilities teams perform an essential role being the frontline staff, dealing directly with client requirements and representing the company whilst on location.

Applicants must be willing to spend long periods of time away from home, be happy to clean facilities vehicles and be capable of completing minor repairs on a varied fleet of facilities vehicles.

HGV Mechanic

Description:

Due to rapid growth, we are looking to recruit a experienced HGV Mechanic to join our workshop team, to service and repair our fleet of c400 HGVs and trailers. On offer is an excellent opportunity to join a growing company which is established in providing facilities to the TV and Film industry.

This is a role is based at the depot in Bordon and you will also be required to attend on-site repairs.

ADF are a 24/7 operation and staff are required to be flexible during busy periods to cover additional workloads.

The Role:

Vehicle Inspections to DVSA and FTA standards

Fault finding, repairs & servicing of commercial vehicles and trailers

MOT preparation to DVSA standards

Vehicle servicing to vehicle manufacturing standards

Completion of all relevant paperwork ensuring that all work undertaken is compliant

Use of diagnostic equipment

Essential requirements:

4 years’ experience as a HGV Mechanic (Post Qualification)

“Time Served” mechanic or possess City & Guilds 1,2 & 3 Certificates or equivalent with experience and have a technical experience in HGV and trailer servicing and repairs

IT Literate

High level of communication

Basic knowledge of computers and fleet diagnostics

Good organizational skills and ability to be able to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines

Initiative to work autonomously

Desirable requirements:

Basic salary £16.50 per hour

45 Hour Week (Inc. paid breaks)
