Job Title: Yard Operations Supervisor
Salary: Competitive Salary and Benefits package
Location: Longcross, Surrey
Hours: 40 Hour Week: Mon – Fri , 7am – 4pm
Facilities by ADF provides serviced vehicle hire for television and film productions in the UK and Europe, specialising in on-location support for dramas and major features.
We are currently recruiting for a skilled Yard Operations Supervisor.
Yard Operations Supervisor – Main Duties:
- Strategically plan cleaning team workloads based on production schedules, trailer turnaround priorities, and ad-hoc requests
- Use the Business Management System (BMS) to schedule work up to three days in advance while remaining flexible to urgent operational needs.
- Conduct daily yard inspections to ensure trailers, generators, and other mobile assets are correctly parked, accessible, and ready for use
- Supervise the loading and unloading of trailers, ensuring correct placement for production access and operational flow
- Assist the HOD during inspections and complete detailed inspection reports, ensuring all findings are accurately recorded and communicated
- Maintain regular communication with the Logistics/Yard Manager to stay updated on upcoming jobs, completions, and Account Manager requirements
- Monitor and respond to online consumables requests, confirming collection or delivery arrangements
- Assist with managing cleaning stock levels, place consumable orders, and ensure timely replenishment
- Assign and coordinate cleaning staff across multiple zones, ensuring efficiency and adherence to hygiene standards
- Administer company Chlorination policy
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lead, motivate, and support a diverse team
- Previous experience in a logistics, yard, or operational supervision role
- Strong planning, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and team coordination skills
- Strong attention to detail, with a proactive, solution-focused approach and commitment to operational efficiency
- Ability to work flexibly to meet the demands of production schedules
Desirable
- Competent user of management systems (BMS or similar)
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures within an industrial or yard setting
- Hold a current counterbalance forklift licence or be willing to obtain one
- Experience in cross-departmental coordination, ensuring cleaning, maintenance, and logistics teams work cohesively
